How to play Tectonic

1. A region with four squares needs the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4, each used once. Follow the same rule for regions of other sizes.
2. Equal numbers must never touch, including diagonally and across region boundaries.
3. Select a square and choose a number below the board. Notes, Undo and Hint can help you work through the puzzle. Your unfinished game saves in this browser.

A useful first move

Look for small regions first. A one-square region must contain 1; that immediately rules out 1 in every neighbouring square, including diagonal neighbours.

Difficulty and saved games

Choose easy, medium or hard before starting. Each new puzzle is generated within the selected difficulty, while Continue keeps your current puzzle.

Progress stays on this browser and device. Clearing browser data can remove your saves.
